Treatments range from 3 – 12 sessions, however most are around 5 – 8. The number of treatments required to completely remove a tattoo varies depending on several factors. These include the type of ink used, amount of ink in the tattoo, depth of ink in the skin, scar tissue present, part of the body the tattoo exists, and the condition of the client’s health/immune system.

Generally, clients may experience temporary redness, tenderness, and swelling. Blisters usually appear within 24 hours of treatment which is completely normal. Scabs, bruising, and blistering may take up to a week or longer to heal. Darker skin types may experience a lightening of the skin in the surrounding treatment area, which is temporary. These side effects are completely normal and an important part of the immune response that helps eliminate the ink from the skin.

We provide our clients with take-home aftercare instructions and are similar to the aftercare of getting a tattoo.

Yes! Some clients want select areas of a tattoo removed and others want the ink faded in preparation for a cover-up tattoo. Generally, fading a tattoo requires only 2 – 3 sessions to allow the tattoo artist to have a better canvas to work with.
